Fast entry

Expenses, income and transfers in a few taps. Quick adds turn your regular purchases into one tap, and a daily reminder helps you keep up.

Splits, categories and tags

Split one receipt across several categories, use sub-categories for detail, and tag entries to follow a trip or a project across categories.

All your accounts

Cash, bank, savings and credit card accounts, plus loans you gave or received with their repayments. Balances are always computed from your entries.

Many currencies, and crypto

Keep each account in its own currency. Daily rates from the European Central Bank and Coinbase convert totals, and every entry keeps the rate of its own day, so last year's figures don't drift with today's exchange rate.

Analytics that answer questions

Expenses and income by category, cash flow, net worth and top tags for any period. Filter the transaction list to find any entry.

Recurring bills

Rent, subscriptions and salaries are entered for you on schedule, with a reminder the day before a bill is due.

Locked and discreet

App lock with your fingerprint, face or PIN, and a privacy mode that hides amounts when someone looks over your shoulder.

Your data lives on your phone

Simple Money is local-first. The app works fully without an account, and nothing in it needs your bank login.

Read the privacy policy

  • No account needed. Use it as a guest and your records never leave the device.
  • Backups on your terms. Export a backup file or a CSV of your transactions whenever you like. Sign in with Google or Apple for an automatic daily cloud backup, which you can turn off, and which then deletes the copies.
  • Your figures never feed ads. Amounts, notes and account names are never sent to advertisers. Pro removes ads entirely.
  • Anonymous statistics, and you can switch them off. Once a day the app reports that a phone used it, with no identifier.
  • Delete any time. Deleting your account removes it and every cloud copy at once; what's on your phone stays yours.
